New to Orange Blossom?
You’re in the right place. This page exists to help you feel prepared and comfortable before your first session with us.
-
At Orange Blossom, we want to encourage all clients to move their bodies in a safe environment. Because our class sizes are small, we do not level our classes. However, some of our classes are more beginner friendly than others.
New clients are fully welcomed in any of our Reformer Pilates classes or our Slow Flow Yoga classes.
Due to the specialized nature of the classes, it is not recommended that new clients take our Chair Pilates or Steel Pilates classes. Your safety is our priority.
-
Reformer Pilates: This class offers a dynamic, multi-level full-body workout utilizing the Pilates Reformer. Each session is designed to introduce new Pilates concepts in a fun and engaging way. Expect improved core strength, enhanced body awareness, and an increase in mobility and strength.
Quick Reformer: A shorter, 35 minute version of our Reformer Pilates class.
Chair Pilates: This class offers a comprehensive full-body workout leveraging the dynamic Pilates Chair. Each class is thoughtfully structured to introduce Pilates concepts in a fun and engaging way. Expect improved strength, a strong, effective core and a feeling of accomplishment.
Steel Pilates: This class is a dynamic full-body workout that combines traditional Mat Pilates with the powerful addition of steel clubs, steel maces, and kettlebells. Expect enhanced strength and muscle tone, increased stability, and a sense of achievement.
Slow Flow Yoga: How do you know you are here right now? This class is an attempt to answer that question. Explore your connection to yourself and the world around you via breath, sound, touch, or other senses. The gentle pace of this class, along with the support of various props, helps us to focus on the present moment.

Private sessions are great for those who feel like they want to gain more comfort with the equipment in a Reformer or Chair Pilates class before joining a group setting.
Many of our clients who have special concerns or pain prefer a private session setting to get even more individualized attention.
Participating in a private session is not a requirement before joining a group class at Orange Blossom, unless you are pregnant in the second trimester or later (see “pregnancy & injuries” below).
We’ve found that our class sizes are small enough that it’s not really necessary and is entirely up to each client.
-
Inform Us: email us about any injuries or if you're pregnant.
Prenatal Policy: all pregnant clients are required to schedule a private session during their second trimester (14 – 27 weeks) before continuing on with regular group classes.
Private Sessions: recommended for those with specific injuries or chronic pains and aches before attending group classes.

Cancellations: Orange Blossom has a 24 hour cancellation policy for all sessions. Cancellations made outside the 24 hour window are considered early, and can be rescheduled.
Cancellations made less than 24 hours before the start of the session, are considered late, and will be deducted from your account. If you are not going to make it to a session, cancel at your soonest convenience to allow another student to take your spot.
No Shows: Absences to class without a cancellation (i.e. “no-shows”) result in forfeiting the class and an additional $10 fee.
-
We recommend arriving 5-10 minutes early for a brief studio tour and to settle in.
In general, we unlock the front door 10 minutes before a group class, or 5 minutes prior to a private session. If you get to your class more than 10 minutes early, there is a chance the door will still be locked.
Plan a few extra minutes to find parking. Our downtown location offers a lot of street parking (at no charge), but it sometimes takes a moment to find that perfect spot. There are a few areas where parking is not allowed, so please pay attention to signage.
We provide a 10 minute grace period for late arrivals. Please make every effort to arrive on time. After 10 minutes, you will not be able to enter the session.
-
Wear comfortable clothes that are easy for you to move around in.
Socks are optional, but if you choose to wear socks, we recommend sticky socks (we have some available for sale in all sizes, if you’d like to purchase a pair from us).
-
