Pilates Teacher Training w/ Humani
Orange Blossom Pilates has partnered with Humani Teacher Training - a 100% virtual Mindfulness-Based Pilates Teacher Training Program. This is not your run-of-the-mill teacher training experience. This course will get you ready to teach Pilates and help you guide your students to make lasting transformations – even if you’ve never taught anything in your life.
If you’re local to the Phoenix area, we have an option for Humani students to practice their skills in person at our Downtown Phoenix studio. You’ll have access to all of our equipment plus our instructor expertise. This option provides an in-person apprenticeship to take your training to the next level.

About the Course
Techniques & Exercises:
Whether you’re interested in the Mat only cert or Comprehensive training, you know that teaching movement is not easy. But we will break it all down. As a student in the Comprehensive course, you’ll learn all the beginner to advanced Mat, Reformer, Chair, Barrels, and Cadillac exercises, the biomechanics, movement goals, and anatomy of functional movement.
The lecture and class portion of the Mat Pilates Certification course takes place over a 3 month period, with a detailed weekly outline, while the Comprehensive Certification Program takes 6 months.
Teaching Essentials:
The course will also teach teachers how to cue, observe, and how to create an environment where every student feels seen, taken care of, and encouraged to take ownership of their own practice. We will dive deep into creating safe spaces for all humans, how to move with people who are in chronic pain or have injuries, and even go in-depth through the pre/post partum experiences.
Lessons are in digital video format and come with additional reference videos, and homework PDFs.
There are also 6 live virtual lessons, AND live break-out sessions for practice teaching with direct feedback from Humani’s team.
Live Community and support
From day 1 of the training, you’re connected to your class and to your TT team, and we keep that party going well after you graduate.
There are LIVE LECTURES (WE CALL OFFICE HOURS) with Maria where we cover new material not already in your course library. Maria and the team also answer any questions about content from the weeks before.
There are LIVE GROUP PRACTICE SESSIONS where you practice teach while we give you feedback that can help you progress and grow as a teacher.
POST-GRAD COMMUNITY. After the course is over, you’re automatically added to our grad list, and will have access to months coaching sessions, lives, and other virtual meet ups, where you stay connected to other teachers and our team. It’s a place where you can help each other grow, as you go out there and change the world.

About the Partnership
What Orange Blossom Pilates is able to provide:
A discount for students who sign up using our code KarenS. This is arguably the most exciting part.
A physical space for local students to practice their skills. This gives the opportunity for even more direct feedback on your practice. Within our space, you can practice mat only ($50/month) or you can practice on all of our equipment ($100/month).
An apprenticeship type model where we exist as another resource for you to reach out to with any questions. We can work through any exercises you’re having confusion with or talk through time management skills. We’re here to help!
Paid apprentice teaching in the studio. After you’ve completed part of your training, you’ll have the option to “test out” and start taking paying clients at a reduced apprentice rate. This is a great way to get in more hours of teaching real human bodies while also starting to make back the money you’ve spent on this training.
Help finding a place to work after you complete your training. If we have room to take on new instructors at our studio, you will be on our high priority list of instructors to interview and you’ll be able to skip the written application. If we don’t have room at our studio, we will help to connect you with other local studios! Because we’ve watched you grow along the way, we’ll be able to give glowing recommendations!
