Are You New to Orange Blossom?

You’re in the right place. This page exists to help you feel prepared and comfortable before your first session with us.

How to Choose a Class

All of our classes are built to be beginner friendly, so you can truly choose any one to start with. However, if you need a little help making a decision, here are some things to think through:

  • We offer three class lengths (35 minute, 50 minute & 60 minute).

    • Would it be less intimidating for you to start with a shorter class time?

    • Is budget a concern? Our shorter classes are often less expensive.

    • What class length offers times that best fit your schedule?

  • We offer Slow Flow Yoga, Mat Pilates, Reformer Pilates & Steel Pilates classes.

    • Do you want to focus more on mindfulness? Yoga may be your best first class.

    • If cost is a concern, Yoga and Mat Pilates are our most budget-conscious choices.

    • Does it excite you to try something totally new and different? Steel Pilates is a unique option that we offer.

    • Have you been looking forward to trying Pilates on equipment? Pick a Reformer Pilates class.

  • Is a private session or a group class a better place to start?

    • Private sessions are great for those who feel like they want to gain more comfort with the equipment in a Reformer Pilates class before joining a class.

    • Many of our clients who have special concerns or pain prefer a private session setting to get even more individualized attention.

    • Participating in a private session is not a requirement before joining a group class at Orange Blossom. We’ve found that our class sizes are small enough that it’s not really necessary and is entirely up to each client.

What You Need for Your First Class

We always send an intro email that includes what you need to have ready for class that’s a little more specific to the class you’re taking. Keep your eyes peeled for that email after you book your first class with us. Here are a few things to consider when preparing for your first class:

  • Wear comfortable clothes that are easy for you to move around in.

  • Socks are optional, but if you choose to wear socks, we recommend sticky socks (we have some available for sale in all sizes, if you’d like to purchase a pair from us).

  • Plan a few extra minutes to find parking. Our downtown location offers a lot of street parking (at no charge), but it sometimes takes a moment to find that perfect spot. There are a few areas where parking is not allowed, so please pay attention to signage.

  • Expect to arrive 5-10 minutes early for your first session in order to fill out paperwork.

  • We typically wait to take payment until the end of your first session so that you can make an informed decision on how you’d like to proceed. Take a look at our packages and memberships and peep our New Customer Specials below.

  • Because we are such a small studio, each person in a class matters so much. If you are unable to make it, please reach out as soon as possible to let us know so we can fill your slot with another client if possible.

New Customer Specials

As a little thank-you-choosing-us, we are now offering New Customer Specials. These specials are the best deals we offer and they are only available at your very first appointment with us. One special per client, non-transferrable.
